Vocal to Dubstep Growl Bass

Drop in any audio — a vocal, a melody, drums, a whole loop. It analyses the rhythm, pitch, timbre and dynamics, then builds a brand-new dubstep growl bass from what it hears. Different file, different growl · hit Regenerate for variations.

It listens to your audio, then builds a bass from it

This is not a fixed preset. When you drop in a file the tool analyses it first: it finds the transients and rhythm, estimates the tempo, tracks the pitch and melodic movement, reads the timbre and frequency balance, measures the dynamics, and maps the phrases and pauses. Then it builds a brand-new dubstep growl bass driven by those features. A melodic sample shapes the notes and intervals; a drum loop becomes a rhythmic growl pattern from its hits; a sustained pad or noise turns into an evolving texture. Change the source and the result changes with it.

How to use it

  1. Drop in any audio. Vocal, melody, drums, a full loop or a noise. The panel shows what it detected: tempo, number of hits, whether it is melodic, rhythmic or textural, and how bright it is.
  2. Set the vibe. Pick a bass note, a character, a wobble division, and how strongly the result should follow the source with the Source influence slider. 100% hugs the original rhythm and pitch; lower lets it roam.
  3. Make the growl, then Regenerate. Each render uses a fresh seed, so Regenerate gives you a new variation built from the same file. Download the WAV, add drums, done.
Source influence at 100% locks the new bass to the rhythm, pitch and structure of your file. Pull it down toward 0% and the tool takes more creative liberty while still starting from your audio.

What it measures

Onsets and transients for the rhythm, inter-onset timing for an approximate BPM, autocorrelation pitch tracking for melody and intervals, an FFT for spectral brightness and the strongest resonances, frame-by-frame loudness for dynamics, and silence detection for phrases and pauses. Every one of those feeds the generator, so the bass you get is a reflection of the sound you put in.

FAQ

Does the result really depend on my file?

Yes. The rhythm comes from your transients, the notes follow your pitch movement, the brightness and resonances come from your timbre, and the pauses match your phrasing. Load a different file and the growl changes noticeably.

What does Regenerate do?

It builds a new variation from the same analysed audio using a new random seed, so the rhythm and key stay tied to your source but the note choices, octaves and movement change.

What is Source influence?

A blend control. At 100% the new bass follows your file as closely as possible. Lower values let the generator improvise more while still starting from your audio.

Do I have to use a vocal?

No. Vocals, melodies, drums, loops, noise — anything works, and each type produces a different kind of result.

Does it upload my audio?

No. Analysis and synthesis run entirely in your browser with the Web Audio API. The output is a WAV.
