Audio Normalizer (Peak)
Audio Normalizer
Bring a quiet file up to a target peak level. Peak-normalizes your audio to the dBFS you choose and exports a WAV. 100% in your browser.
100% in your browser. Your file never leaves your computer.
Normalize audio to a target peak
Peak normalizing raises (or lowers) the whole file so its loudest sample hits the level you pick, with no change to the dynamics. A target of -1 dBFS is a safe, common choice that leaves a little headroom.
How to use it
Drop a file, set the target peak in dBFS, click Process and download the WAV. It runs locally in your browser.
FAQ
Is peak normalizing the same as loudness?
No. Peak normalizing sets the highest sample to a target. Perceived loudness is measured in LUFS. For streaming targets, see the LUFS tool in the hub.
What target should I use?
-1 dBFS is a safe default that avoids inter-sample clipping. Use 0 dBFS only if you know you need it.
Does it upload my file?
No, it all runs in your browser.
Is it free?
Yes, free forever.
