Drop a file, set how many seconds the fade in and fade out should last, pick a curve and download the result as a WAV. Perfect for podcast intros, song endings, loops for video, phone ringtones or trimming live recordings so they do not start and stop abruptly.
Which fade curve should I use?
Smooth (S-curve) is the default for a reason — it starts and ends gently, which sounds natural on almost anything. Linear is a straight ramp, useful for short utility fades. Exponential stays quiet longer and then rises quickly — great for dramatic intros and long ambient tails, and it usually matches how we perceive loudness best on long fade-outs.
How to use it
- Drop your audio (MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG, FLAC).
- Set fade in and fade out lengths in seconds — use 0 to skip one side.
- Apply, preview, download the WAV.
Need to remove a section first, or cut the song down to one part? Do that with the Audio Cutter, then come back here for the fades. A tiny 5–10 ms fade also fixes clicks at the start or end of a trimmed sample.

How long should a fade out be?
For songs, 5-15 seconds feels classic; for podcasts and voice, 1-3 seconds; for sample cleanup, 5-50 milliseconds is enough to kill clicks.
Why do I hear a click at the edit point?
A cut that lands mid-waveform jumps instantly to a new level. Adding even a 10 ms fade at the cut smooths the jump and removes the click.
Does it change the audio quality?
No - only the volume envelope is modified. The export is lossless 16-bit WAV at the original sample rate.
