Do This for 7 Days and Your Network Will Grow

One Week Simple Networking Challenge
I want to see everybody win.
Recently, I had a conversation with my friend, a studio owner in Vegas, and he told me, “You should make a networking challenge.” So I decided to make one for you.
This challenge is simple. Nobody is going to check you. You need to be honest with yourself. But if you are at least willing to try and do everything, you will definitely become at least 1% better after this.
And if you complete the challenge, you will see that networking is not that scary. You just need to do something.
Every skill can be trained, and networking is the same. Treat this challenge like a small exercise. This is your first step to upgrade your networking skill.
Day 1: Text Your Scariest Contact
Text or call the scariest contact, or the biggest contact, that you always wanted to contact but never had the confidence to reach out to.
I think texting is better.
Find a real reason to text this person. Ask something genuine. Maybe you have a question about a mix. Maybe you need help with something. Maybe you want to ask if they need an assistant. Maybe you just want to start a real conversation.
The point is simple: find your dream person, collaborator, or someone important from your contact list, and finally reach out.
Actually, don’t contact just one person. Contact three people.
Everybody has those contacts in their phone. Just have confidence in yourself and text three of them.
Day 2: Say Hi to a Random Person
Say hi to a random person on the street that you’ve never seen before.
That’s it. Nothing crazy.
Maybe you are just walking from one place to another. Just say, “Hi,” or “Hey, how’s it going?”
That is the minimum.
The maximum is to stop a person, give them a genuine compliment, or start a short random conversation.
The goal is not to become best friends. The goal is just to train your confidence.
Day 3: Visit One Offline Networking Event
Visit one offline networking event.
In every city, there is some kind of networking event, masterclass, conference, meetup, or something similar.
If we are talking about music, it is better if the event is related to music. But if there is nothing music-related, it can be any event where you can meet new people.
Just treat it as practice.
Go there, talk to at least one person, and try to make one real connection.
Day 4: DM 10 People on Instagram
DM 10 different people on Instagram.
They should be related to what you are actually doing. Since we are talking about music, DM 10 people you actually like and maybe want to work with.
Be respectful. Be straight to the point. Keep in mind that people get DMs every day, and a lot of people are asking them for something.
So be creative.
Sit down and think about what kind of message you can send. Make sure you say hi first, then go straight to the point. But don’t be lazy with it. A lot of people are busy, so don’t waste their time.
Day 5: Save 5 New Useful Contacts
By the end of the challenge, you need to have 5 new useful contacts.
Super simple: after doing all of this, you need to have 5 new phone numbers.
But don’t just save random numbers and forget who these people are. Make sure you document everything correctly.
Save their name and last name. Add where you met this person, when you met them, and why this contact is useful for you. Follow up with them a few days later.
Use the notes or comments section in your contacts and write down everything you need to remember.
Because the goal is not just to collect numbers. The goal is to build real connections that you can actually use later.
The Goal
This challenge is not about becoming a networking master in one week.
It is about proving to yourself that you can do it.
- You can text people.
- You can say hi first.
- You can show up to events.
- You can DM people you respect.
- You can start building real connections.
- You can save new contacts and actually remember who they are.
If you complete these simple steps, post a story and tag me.
I want to see who actually did it.
As you might know, I built my network from ground zero.
Now I have more than 500 very useful contacts in my phone, including some of the most talented people on Earth. It took me more than 5 years to build this network, but you don’t have to figure everything out the hard way.
I created my networking course to help you save time, grow your networking skills faster, and start building real connections with the right people.
