Waves Black Friday 2026: $29 Plugins, Bundle Prices and the Free Plugin Drop
Black Friday 2026 · Waves
Waves shows up in 72 of the 88 hit-record vocal chains in my Vocal Chain eBible, more than any other brand. It's also the brand where list prices mean the least: right now most Waves plugins are $29.99 to $39.99 at Plugin Boutique, and the big bundles are up to 92% off, until November 1. Here's what Waves did last Black Friday, which plugins to get, and which bundle actually makes sense.

$29.99–$39.99
most single plugins until Nov 1 (list $99 to $199)
Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27, and Cyber Monday is November 30. Waves runs sales for most of the year, so the question is never whether it will be on sale, but how low. Today's prices are a good baseline: a Black Friday price above them isn't a deal.

What Waves does every Black Friday
Two things repeat. First, a free plugin: in 2024 Waves gave away IDX Intelligent Dynamics (10,000 free licenses), and in 2025 it ran a sign-up for a new plugin that dropped on November 28, which turned out to be Magma StressBox, a one-knob compressor and expander. Both now sell at Plugin Boutique (IDX $39.99, StressBox $29.99 until November 1). Expect another giveaway with a sign-up page in November, and grab it early because the licenses are limited.
Second, multi-buy deals on Waves' own store. Last year that meant two plugins for $49.99 or five for $99.99 (with exclusions), and a $10 coupon for Black Friday weekend if you spent $50 or more. At Plugin Boutique the prices are per plugin, and you get Virtual Cash and the free gift on top.
The Waves plugins I'd get first
From the 88 chains in my eBible: an 1176-style compressor (hardware, UAD or Waves CLA-76) appears in 34, H-Delay in 34, R-Vox in 24, an LA-2A style leveler in 15 and Doubler in 15. Those are the Waves plugins worth owning.
1. Waves CLA-76 Compressor / Limiter — the vocal peak catcher
Waves' 1176, modeled on Chris Lord-Alge's units, with Bluey and Blacky versions. Fast attack catches the peaks; it's the first compressor in a huge share of pop and rap vocal chains.

2. Waves Renaissance Vox — one-knob vocal compression
R-Vox appears in 24 of the 88 chains in my eBible. One threshold fader with a gate and a limiter built in, and the vocal sits forward.
Plugin Boutique, Oct 29: $39.99 $129 · sale ends Nov 1 · See today's price →
3. Waves H-Delay Hybrid Delay — the delay engineers keep using
A hybrid of analog and digital delay with filters, modulation and a lo-fi switch. It's in 34 of the 88 chains, mostly as a slap or a quarter-note throw on a send.
Plugin Boutique, Oct 29: $34.99 $149 · sale ends Nov 1 · See today's price →
4. Waves CLA-2A Compressor / Limiter — the leveler after the 1176
A smooth optical leveler that goes after the CLA-76 in the classic order: the 1176 catches peaks, the LA-2A evens out the phrase.
Plugin Boutique, Oct 29: $34.99 $149 · sale ends Nov 1 · See today's price →
5. Waves CLA Vocals — a whole CLA vocal chain
Compression, EQ, reverb, delay and pitch effects with CLA's choices behind six faders. A fast way to get a demo vocal sounding finished.
Plugin Boutique, Oct 29: $39.99 $149 · sale ends Nov 1 · See today's price →
6. Waves SSL G-Master Buss Compressor — the mix-bus compressor
Waves' model of the SSL G-Series bus compressor. If you want SSL's own version, it's $19 until November 1; see the SSL guide.
Plugin Boutique, Oct 29: $39.99 $149 · sale ends Nov 1 · See today's price →
7. Waves Doubler — instant width
Two to four voice doubling with delay, pitch and pan per voice, for a wider chorus without a second take.
Plugin Boutique, Oct 29: $34.99 $99 · sale ends Nov 1 · See today's price →
8. Waves Vocal Rider — automatic vocal riding
Rides the vocal fader for you so every word sits at the same level against the track, before any compression.

9. Waves Abbey Road Reverb Plates — the Abbey Road plates
Models of the EMT 140 plates at Abbey Road. A plate is the classic vocal reverb, and these are $29.99.

10. Waves L2 Ultramaximizer — the classic limiter
The brickwall limiter that was on countless masters, and still a fast way to get a mix to a loud reference level. L3 Multimaximizer is $29.99.

Which Waves bundle is worth it?
At current prices the bundles cost the same as a handful of single plugins. That changes the math.
Waves bundles at Plugin Boutique, October 29, 2026
| Bundle | Now | List | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gold | $159 | $799 | 40+ plugins: C4, Renaissance compressor, EQ and reverb, H-Delay, Doubler, MaxxBass, SuperTap, Waves Tune LT |
| Platinum | $199 | $1,999 | Gold plus the L2 and L3 limiters, the full Renaissance series with R-Vox, the PuigTec EQs and more |
| Horizon | $299 | $3,999 | 93 plugins: Platinum plus CLA-76, CLA-2A, CLA-3A, Vocal Rider, Kramer Master Tape, PuigChild, Center and more |
| SSL 4000 Collection | $129 | $499 | Waves' SSL E-channel, G-channel, G-Master Buss Compressor and more |
My take: skip Gold, because Platinum is only $40 more and adds R-Vox, the L2 and L3 limiters and the PuigTec EQs. If you want the CLA compressors and Vocal Rider, Horizon is the one to get: buying CLA-76, CLA-2A, Vocal Rider and Kramer Master Tape separately costs $139.96 right now, while Horizon costs $100 more than Platinum and includes all four plus dozens more. Waves' top bundle, Mercury, wasn't discounted when I checked.

One Waves plugin wasn't discounted: Maserati VX1, Tony Maserati's vocal plugin ($99). It's built around how he mixes vocals, which I covered in my Tony Maserati article.
Buy now or wait for Black Friday?
Waves prices move constantly, and today's $29.99 to $39.99 range is already where Waves singles usually land during big sales. If a plugin you need is in that range, buy it before November 1. For the free plugin, watch for Waves' sign-up page in November. I'll update this page during Black Friday week.
You have the Waves plugins. Here are the chains.
The Vocal Chain eBible collects 88 vocal chains from hit records, as the engineers described them to me: every plugin, its settings and the order it sits in. Each chain comes in two versions, one with paid plugins and one with free ones, so you know exactly what is worth buying this week.

Does Waves have a Black Friday sale?
Every year. Waves also gives away a free plugin around Black Friday: IDX Intelligent Dynamics in 2024 and Magma StressBox in 2025, through a sign-up with limited licenses. On October 29, 2026, most Waves plugins were $29.99 to $39.99 at Plugin Boutique until November 1.
What is the best Waves bundle to buy?
At current prices, Platinum ($199) over Gold ($159), because it adds R-Vox, the L2 and L3 limiters and the PuigTec EQs for $40 more. Choose Horizon ($299) if you want the CLA compressors, Vocal Rider and Kramer Master Tape.
Which Waves plugins are best for vocals?
CLA-76 and CLA-2A for compression, R-Vox for one-knob control, Vocal Rider for level, Doubler for width and H-Delay for throws. In my Vocal Chain eBible, Waves plugins appear in 72 of 88 hit-record vocal chains.
Why are Waves list prices so high?
Waves list prices ($99 to $199 for a single plugin) rarely apply. Waves plugins are on sale most of the year; on October 29, 2026 most singles were $29.99 to $39.99.
