Scaler 3 Black Friday 2026: $69 Now (Last Year's Lowest Price), Upgrades and Scaler EQ Pro
Black Friday 2026 · Scaler
Scaler 3 is $69 at Plugin Boutique right now, and that was its lowest price ever last Black Friday. The deal runs until December 7, so there's no reason to wait for November 27 unless you also want Scaler EQ Pro. Here's what Scaler does, what everything in the range costs, and the free tool I'd grab even if you never write a chord.
Scaler 3 at Plugin Boutique

Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27, and Cyber Monday is November 30. Last year Plugin Boutique dropped Scaler 3 to $69 on November 14 and called it the lowest price ever, with a $79 package that added Scaler EQ. This year the $69 price started on October 26.

What Scaler 3 does
Scaler 3 is a music theory workstation. It detects the key and chords of what you play, suggests chords and progressions that fit, and generates melodies, basslines and performances that it plays into your DAW through your own instruments. Multi-Bind links several tracks so you can arrange a song and audition its sections together. It runs standalone and as VST, VST3, AU and AAX, and Scaler lists Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, Bitwig, Reaper and Reason as supported.
Who it's for: producers who write by ear and get stuck after the second chord, and anyone who wants to learn why a progression works while using it. If you already play keys and know your theory, it's a speed tool rather than a necessity.

What I'd get
1. Scaler 3 — chords, progressions and performances
$69 matches last year's Black Friday low, and the deal runs until December 7. If you own Scaler 2, the upgrade is $29.

2. Scaler Detector — free key detection
It tells you the key, scale and chords of a song, a loop or live MIDI. I'd grab it before any vocal session: Autotune needs the right key and scale to tune correctly, and guessing costs time. It's free until December 7 (normally $9) and comes with every Scaler 3 purchase.

3. Scaler EQ Pro — the note-aware EQ
It shapes frequencies around the notes and scale of your song, adds bass and high-frequency compression, and can be played from MIDI. $69 until December 7.

4. Scaler Music Carbon Electra 2 — Scaler's synth
A synth with Scale Lock, Waveterrain oscillators and a sequencer that knows your key. $69 until December 7, or $29 as an upgrade from Carbon Electra.

Buy now or wait?
Buy now if you want Scaler 3 on its own: $69 is last year's lowest price, and the deal runs until December 7. The only reason to wait is a bundle. Last year Plugin Boutique sold Scaler 3 with Scaler EQ for $79 during Black Friday, and today Scaler 3 and Scaler EQ Pro cost $138 together, so if you want both, see whether a package comes back in late November. I'll update this page during Black Friday week.
Scaler sits in the writing stage. For the mixing side of this Black Friday, the plugin deals under $50 and the vocal plugin guide cover the rest.
Wrote the song? Here's how the pros chain the vocal.
The Vocal Chain eBible collects 88 vocal chains from hit records, as the engineers described them to me: every plugin, its settings and the order it sits in. Each chain comes in two versions, one with paid plugins and one with free ones, so you know exactly what is worth buying this week.
