No Pressure, No Diamonds

This is my favorite quote, and I learned about it during the hardest time of my life. Most of you probably know my story. If not, I’ll attach a link here so you can check it out.
In this article, I just want to talk about mental health, and I hope it will help at least a few people. If you’re struggling right now and going through the hardest time of your life, always keep in mind: No Pressure, No Diamonds.
What does that mean? If you know something about diamonds, they’re made under extreme pressure. So if you’re having hard times and feel like giving up, remember that in life we always have black and white. After the black always comes the white. After the dark always comes the light. After the rain always comes the sun.
So if you feel a lot of pressure, it means you’re becoming a diamond. You’re becoming a legend. Just keep grinding, keep working, and everything will be okay. Even right now, things are already working.
Here are some things that can help you stay positive and keep a healthy mindset:
1. Sport
Move your body. Spend at least 10 minutes a day walking, jogging, or doing any kind of movement. It clears your mind and boosts oxytocin, helping you feel happier and more positive.
2. Filter Negativity
We consume so much social media content. Don’t watch the news or anything that fills your mind with negativity. Skip what doesn’t serve you and train your social media algorithms to show you positive content.
3. Meditation
Spend at least 3–5 minutes a day in meditation. It doesn’t always mean sitting in silence. Meditation can also be making music, cooking, running, or even watching movies—anything that clears your mind and helps you reset.
4. Create Art
If you’re reading this, you’re probably a creative person. So create. Draw, make music, play keys, paint—whatever feels right. It’s similar to meditation, but it gives you a different kind of energy afterwards.
5. Learning
Spend 5–10 minutes a day learning something new. Read a few pages of a book, listen to an audiobook, watch a tutorial, or take a course. Learning is a cheat code. If you feel stuck, learning something new gives you the next step forward.
Bonus: Reflect Before Sleep
Before bed, write down a few words about what you did well today. Just one sentence is enough. It helps you see your progress and feel that you’ve moved forward, even in small ways.
One more important thing: be consistent. Do this every day. I know it’s hard, but here’s the trick—don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Each activity can take just 3–5 minutes. The whole routine will take only 10–15 minutes max. This way, it’s easier to stay consistent. Think of it as fueling your car every day so you can keep running strong.
And as you might know, I’ve interviewed more than 80 Grammy Award–winning engineers and producers. I’ve asked them about their secret sauce, favorite plug-ins, and advice. I put all of this together with my own experience into a free PDF.
